Starting Concurent Managers

While teaching in class students told me that they have posted journal entries and the transaction still remains pending even though i have run script ‘./adstrall.sh’ which by default start all the application tier. drilling down i notice that some concurent managers were not started. to solve this ask my student to Alternatively try the following steps even though it may sound funny but i believe it helps alot.
1. I ask them to stop concurent manager by running ‘./adcmctl.sh stop apps/apps’ from the viscomn directory
2. Then i asked them to start the manager again by running ‘./adcmctl.sh start apps/apps’
3. Finally they log in to Application manager Link and check concurent process to start all the managers.

1> Check the values of fnd_nodes to check that node have the CP enabled.

the adstrtall.sh script will start the services enabled for that node.

2> It’s come from a clone? have rup6? there is issue on top of rup6, ensure to be on the last rapidclone and autoconfig.

After issuing adcmctl.sh start apps/apps
follow the below step, its very effective:

just type startmgr on command prompt and pass apps password when invoked.

Hi All,

Starting a concurrent manager is not a problem in unix, but it creates hurdles in windows platform while starting and stopping the oracle application. Whats the best way in windows to do so.
